Adrian Ditore is the Bioinformatics Specialist at the National Aplysia Resource, specializing in database curation. Adrian is broadly interested in heterobranch biology and ecology. This interest was fostered during his undergraduate career at Nova Southeastern University, where he researched the behavioral response of A. californica to olfactory stimuli. After earning his B.S. in Marine Biology, he continued to research Aplysia at the University of Miami by completing an MPS research project on the influence of diet on their somatic growth and foot muscle development. His current research projects include exploring the application of PIT Tags on A. californica broodstock and eradicating macroalgae contaminants in closed systems. Outside of the lab Adrian can be found diving to find local sea slugs, paddle boarding across Miami, or reading.
